Mitemaki is a brand-new Japanese restaurant that opened its doors in the heart of Polanco, on Emilio Castelar, in January 2025. It brings an innovative concept centered on quality — the finest Japanese cuisine, served with a bold and contemporary spirit.

From its striking architecture to the energy of the people who fill the space, everything about being at Mitemaki feels like an experience — cool, elevated, and unforgettable.

We’ve had the joy of collaborating with them since day one, capturing the essence of their brand from the moment it was born.

LAUNCH CONTENT

For Mitemaki’s grand opening, we created a complete product photoshoot to introduce the brand to the world.

We photographed their ingredients, signature cones, and menus with a funky and daring approach — a visual language that felt fresh and unlike anything traditionally seen in Japanese cuisine.

Alongside the product imagery, we also captured lifestyle moments and architectural details, and produced video snippets that highlighted the crispness of the nori and the exceptional quality of every element on the plate.

OPENING

To document their official opening night, we created both a video and photo coverage of the Friends & Family event.

We embraced a film-inspired, trending aesthetic — grainy textures, warm tones, and fluid movement — to reflect the buzz of a packed restaurant, the joy of every guest, and the vibrant energy behind the scenes in the kitchen.

This project was about capturing what it felt like to be there on such a special night.

THE NEXT COURSE

Once Mitemaki expanded their menu with new cones, we returned for a second shoot. This time, the concept shifted from bold and graphic to something more intimate and lifestyle-driven. We focused on the bar experience, working with flash photography to create a dynamic and immersive atmosphere. The result was a set of visuals that felt spontaneous and alive — echoing the energy of sharing a night out at the bar.
